• NBA Players Whose Style We’re Missing During the Offseason
  • 2014 NBA Finals - Game Five
  • With free agency starting to settle, there’s no shortage of NBA talk this summer. But something is still missing and it ain’t just the games. It’s Russell Westbrook’s lensless glasses, DeMarcus Cousins’ Jordans and Kobe’s tailored suits. With the 2014-15 season still months away, we’re taking a look at the hippest NBA ballers. Grab your pens and take notes on these NBA players’ cool off-court style, as you won’t be able to bite their swag again till next season.

  • Russell Westbrook

You never know what’s going to happen when Russell Westbrook shows up. He could be wearing a tie that’s too short, red suspenders with a bow tie, a shirt with smiley faces or this. Some of his choices might seem a little over the top, but you’ve got to admit he’s entertaining.

  • Kevin Durant

He may not go quite as far as his running mate in OKC, but Kevin Durant isn’t afraid to make some bold style choices. For his now-famous MVP speech, Durant pulled off a solid purple suit with a polka dot tie. And, of course, there’s the famous backpack. This offseason we’re sure to miss KD’s smooth jumper, but we’re also going to miss his ability to inspire us to go outside of our style comfort zone.

  • Nick Young

Nick Young was one of the hottest scorers to come off the bench this past season; he also has a fresh style and authentic love for fashion that keeps your eyes glued to his Instagram page. Even when he’s with someone in sweats, Young brings his ‘A’ game. They don’t call him ‘Swaggy P’ for nothing.

  • Carmelo Anthony

Now that we know Melo is staying in New York, we’re glad that he’ll still have 5th Avenue as his other playground. Anthony has talked about starting his own fashion line, not to mention a hat line featuring fedoras. It makes sense given some of Melo’s past looks.

  • J.R. Smith

Knicks sharp-shooter J.R. Smith’s style has been really influenced by the New York fashion scene. You could catch him arriving to the Garden rocking high-end designers, or in attendance for numerous fashion soirees in the Big Apple. If last summer is any indication, there’s still hope Smith will catch everyone’s attention without any league action: last August, Smith turned a lot of heads when he was spotted in an armored truck.

  • Kobe Bryant

It was a tough season for Mamba and his Lakers, but Kobe managed to keep L.A. fans entertained from the bench with his fashionable tailored suits. Like Carmelo, Kobe isn’t afraid to take it to the next level with some headwear.

  • Deron Williams

With Deron Williams it’s about the little things. If you don’t pay close attention there’s a chance you will miss out on something like his crazy yellow socks with dinosaurs. Actually, it’s probably impossible to miss those. So even though Williams hasn’t gotten close to delivering Brooklyn a title, let’s give him some credit for keeping things interesting.

  • DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus Cousins is a straight-up sneaker enthusiast; he’s been putting fellow sneakerheads to shame all season with his eclectic mix of sought-after kicks. Not to mention a good eye for hip clothing that complements his sneaker game to the fullest. Check out some pictures of his sneaker collection at your own risk: you will be jealous.

  • LeBron James

LeBron’s basketball talent has been on point since his rookie season. His style? Not so much. But even before he left for Miami, LeBron started getting his act together. These days, you can expect the King to go all out with a tailored suit, pocket square and tie bar.
