Pau Gasol, Bulls Closing in on Deal

The dominos are beginning to fall in NBA free agency. After LeBron James and Chris Bosh made their respective — albeit shocking — decisions, everyone else started getting paid too. This leaves Pau Gasol as one of the biggest names left on the market next to Carmelo Anthony, Gasol hasn’t been shy about letting us know about his decision making.

According to the latest reports, Pau Gasol is nearing a contract with the Chicago Bulls. There are no contract details disclosed, but it appears the two sides are nearing close to a deal. Pau Gasol turned down $10-million plus per season from the Lakers yesterday, as the Lakers opted to sign Nick Young and Jordan Hill to lucrative deals.

Maybe it’s not Carmelo Anthony, but Pau Gasol would be a nice addition to the Chicago Bulls. Gasol averaged 17.4 points and 9.7 rebounds last season in 60 games. He’s an upgrade over Carlos Boozer, who appears to have his days numbered in the Windy City.
