Next year’s All-Star festivities will take place in New York City, with Friday and Saturday night’s events held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Sunday’s all-star game taking place at Madison Square Garden.
The league revealed its logo today for the event, and as you can see, the inspiration comes from the iconic public transportation signs seen all across New York, with colors of subways and bus lines that connect the five boroughs. The Knicks and Nets are both represented on the logo, as they will essentially be acting as co-hosts of the event.
This will be the fifth time in league history that New York City will host the All-Star game. Sunday’s main event will take place on February 15th, 2015, so, plan your Valentine’s Day weekend well in advance.
Of course, now the question becomes: will Carmelo Anthony be the hometown star of next year’s All-Star event. We’ll find out soon.
