Find a nice way to finish that statement. Timofey Mozgov went undrafted in 2008, but signed on with the New York Knicks in 2010 and became an asset that Masai Ujiri insisted on in the Carmlo Anthony trade. He’s had his share of not-so-great moments in the league. Well, any piece about Mozgov naturally has to begin with a reminder of this Blake Griffin dunk.
From there, the term Mozgov’d was coined (as in, “he got Mozgov’d) and he became known as The Guy Griffin Obliterated. The Denver Nuggets center decided to dead all that talk when Griffin tried again.
Well, it turns out, we may have a new definition of Mozgov’d courtesy of a new photoshoot he did in the Russian edition of Esquire Magazine. You can browse the entire set of photos here. With shirts from Barbour, Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren, Van Laack and Woolrich, Mozgov is blurring the lines between radical and nomrcore.
You can be sure JaVale McGee will have a few things to say to his teammate when they see each other at training camp next year.
