Half-Man/Half-Amazing is staying with us for another three seasons. Vince Carter agreed to terms with the Memphis Grizzlies on a three-year, $12 million deal. The third year of the deal is partially guaranteed. With former Grizzlies guard Mike Miller trying to catch the quickest flight to Cleveland, Memphis took no time in replacing him.
The 37-year-old guard isn’t the human highlight reel he used to be, but he can still knock down shots from three consistently. Carter hit the three ball at a 39 percent clip last season and 41 percent the season before, while suiting up for 81 games in each of the last two seasons. He can immediately add offense to a Grizzlies squad that finished 26th in the NBA in points per game and 19th in three-point percentage.
It may not be a reunion with his hometown Toronto Raptors, but can anyone argue against watching Vince Carter for three more years?
