LeBron James needs your help.

King James took to his Instagram account just before noon EST today to ask his fans one simple question:  ”6 or 23?……” The Instagram post (below) shows a split-screen portrait of him wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers No. 6 jersey and Cavs No. 23 jersey.

When James entered the NBA in 2003, he rocked No. 23 for Michael Jordan, but decided to give it up in 2010, citing that every player in the league needs to recognize and respect what MJ meant to basketball and not wear his number.

“He’s the best basketball player we’ve ever seen,” James told the Associated Press at the time. “Mike does it on the court and off the court. If you see 23, you think about Michael Jordan. You see guys flying through the air, you think about Michael Jordan. You see game-winning shots, you think about Michael Jordan. You see fly kicks, you think about Michael Jordan. He did so much, it has to be recognized, and not just by putting him in the Hall of Fame.”

After applying for an official number change with the NBA, James started wearing No. 6 for his first-born son, whose birthday is October 6th. But four years with the Miami Heat and now returning to Cleveland, LeBron seems to be second-guessing himself.

So, help him out: What number should LeBron James wear in Cleveland next season?

I thought the main reason he didn’t wear 23 in Miami was because the Heat retired it when the Bulls did in respect of Michael Jordan. If it was available, LeBron probably would have worn it.
